Join us for a round of early bird auditions for Threepenny’s Summer Comedy, Five Women Wearing the Same Dress—written by Alan Ball and co-directed by pro actors and stage directors Andrew Curtis Stark and Chloé Rosenthal!
We’re seeking six actors (5 w, 1 m) ages 15 and older for this fast-paced, witty adult comedy, scheduled to run July 17-26 in Brookings. Everyone who auditions should be prepared to read excerpts from the script with other actors and should be prepared to demonstrate a willingness to take direction.
Synopsis: During an extravagant Southern wedding reception, five bridesmaids from wildly different walks of life all take refuge in an upstairs bedroom. Their mission? Avoid the bride at all costs.
At first they connect through gossip, but as the afternoon progresses they slowly open up to one another, and discover unexpected common bonds along the way.
