Open Auditions for Spring, Summer, and Fall 2025 Shows

Threepenny Theater Co. is excited to announce open auditions for our upcoming season, featuring the following productions:

• All in the Timing – A collection of clever, witty, and absurd one-act plays by David Ives, demanding 3-8 actors with sharp comedic instincts, strong timing, and versatility in playing multiple roles. Performs May 2025

  
  

• The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) [Revised] [Again] – A fast-paced, hilarious romp through all of Shakespeare’s plays in a wildly abridged format, requiring three actors with excellent comedic timing, improv skills, and high-energy physicality. Performs July 2025

  
  

• Ugly Lies the Bone – A poignant yet humor-infused drama about Jess, a newly discharged soldier who returns home to Florida after suffering severe injury in combat. As she undergoes experimental virtual reality therapy to cope with chronic pain, she struggles to reconnect with her family, an old flame, and a hometown that has changed as much as she has. Seeking 5-6 adult actors with a wide emotional range, and at least one actor with a particularly commanding vocal presence. Performs October 2025

  
  

Audition Details: 📅 Dates: March 10 & 11, 5:00 – 7:00pm 📍Location: The Chetco Library, 405 Alder St, Brookings

What to Prepare:

• Actors will be asked to do cold readings from the scripts.

• Prior to auditions, audition sides are available for review upon request. You may request audition sides by sending a message to contact@threepennytheater.com.
